1)Everyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior is part of God’s family. We are part of a body, and at the head of that body is Christ. Remaining an active member in that body helps us to center our lives around God, but sometimes things get in the way. Although Hebrews 10:25 encourages us to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, many Christians do. If you are a faithful attendee, how has your Church family contributed? If you’re not, what is a barrier to you engaging more with your Church family?
2)Being part of a Church family is about more than showing up on Sundays, giving a few hugs then not engaging until next Sunday. Acts 2:44-47 shows us that the early Church didn’t just worship with each other, but they broke bread with each other, gave to those who were less fortunate among one another, and more. In what ways do you fellowship with your Church family throughout the week?
3)Being part of a family is about more than letting other people serve you all the time. We should strive to contribute in all relationships, but especially those within the Body of Christ. God has given all of us abilities and experiences that will help us minister to our Church family. What are you doing with your gifts to edify God's family?
