Before we were ever born, God knew everything there was to know about us. Chief among them is his purpose for bringing us to this earth. The problem often is that we struggle to identify it. Pastor provided a pointer for helping us to learn the who, what, when, where, why, and how of our purpose. Which of these do you feel the most confident about, and which has already been revealed to you? Which one has yet to be shown?
We are handcrafted by the Creator of all things to accomplish something special on this earth. For some, it might be sharing the Gospel with thousands of people. For others, it might be consistently teaching children’s church, and some of your students become great ministers. Whatever it is, we should be secure in who God has called us to be, not trying to compare ourselves to what He has called someone else to be. We must develop our God-given talents to maximize our time to fulfill His purpose. What are you doing to grow your gifts that help serve God’s purpose for your life?
It can be easy to fall into the trap of wanting to get recognized for our efforts, but our posture should aim to bring glory and honor to God’s name. When God sends us out on a mission, His name and reputation are on the line, so as long as we’re oriented towards building His Kingdom and not ours, He will have our back. Can you share about a time you or someone you know experienced this? What did you learn about your relationship with God through that?
