"The Good Shepherd - Possession"

1. To appreciate all God is, we must reflect and remember the blessings He’s bestowed on us. We’ve all had something we once prayed and asked God for, but once we received it, we forgot how valuable it is. For some, it’s our spouse, for others, it’s a job or kids. Take some time to reflect and remember a prayer God has answered. What is one thing you can do this week to show more gratitude for that?

2. Sheep are helpless in practicably every sense of the word, so the everyday life of a shepherd requires great attention and care to every need of their sheep. We sometimes lose sight of the reality that apart from God, we are no better off. Can you share a time you came face to face with this truth? How has that experience influenced your walk with God?

3. Rest is one of the most vital parts of our existence. When we refuse to allow ourselves to rest, we distrust that the Good Shepherd can take care of us. Rest goes beyond the typical physical rest. We also need to rest mentally, spiritually, and even emotionally. Of these different kinds of rest where do you do well in? Which could you do better in? What habit can you develop to grow in one of these areas?
