1. One of the best ways to express our love for God is in service to vulnerable populations. Isaiah 61:1 mentions the poor, the brokenhearted, and the captive. It’s not always easy or pleasant, but if we’re being honest, neither are we. How often do you express your love for God in this way? What opportunities to serve disadvantaged people have you been saying no to that God continues to put on your mind or in your heart?
2. As we continue to serve God, we should progress in our abilities, effectiveness, and trustworthiness. Think back to the first chance you had to serve God’s Kingdom. In what ways have you grown? What areas do you see opportunities for further development?
3. God has given us the same spirit that was in Jesus that allowed Him to perform miracles, signs, and wonders. This means that when we serve, we know we can do so with power and authority. How does this knowledge impact how you approach opportunities to serve God and people?
