I'm Blessed

1. Being blessed is much more than a greeting or something we mindlessly repeat. It’s a lifestyle. It’s with you whether you’re in the city or the country. It’s with you regardless of circumstances. It’s with you in times of peace and in times of enemies looking to cause harm. It can also be generational. If you feel like you're blessed, can you share a memory of the person with whom it started? If you don't feel blessed, what could you do to change your family's story?

2. A relationship with Jesus is about more than us getting worldly things. Matthew 6:33 says we should “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” It can be tempting to live with God on the back burner, only remembering to come to Him when things aren’t going our way. We ask Him to bail us out, then rinse, wash, and repeat. What are habits you can start developing to be more intentional about seeking God first?

3. Biggie Smalls once said, “mo money, mo problems,” but Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.” Meaning that when God blesses us, we don’t have to work painfully hard for it, and it doesn’t come with additional problems. Can you share a testimony of a time when a financial increase seemingly came from nowhere?
