This is Just the Beginning

1. Throughout God’s formation of the Nation of Israel in Exodus, number four played a vital role in how He chose to build it. Going back even further than that, in Genesis 1, during the creation story, the fourth day is when God created light. Think through your faith journey. What are four experiences that have helped shape your faith walk? What were your major takeaways from each one?

2. In Leviticus 19:23, God instructed the people of Israel to not touch the fruit within the first three years of it being planted, and in the fourth year, they are to devote the first fruits to God. It wasn’t until the fifth year that they were granted permission to enjoy the fruits they labored so hard to plant. It can be tempting to get in a hurry to enjoy the fruits of our labor, but we need to show patience and let them mature first. Then once they’re mature, we offer our best to God as an offering. After that is the best time for us to partake. What is something you’ve invested a lot of time and energy into that you're ready to move forward with? How can you first devote it to God so it can be blessed?

3. Once a good and strong foundation has been set, it’s time to move forward. God has spent the last four years strengthening IMPACT Community Church’s foundation, and now is a great time to think about where we could be going. IMPACT’s mission is to know and love Jesus and to make the love of Jesus known. What is something you can commit to doing to help fulfill this mission heading into year five?
