"The Divinity in the Nativity" - Part 2

1. Whether it’s a job, a home, or a friendship, one common mistake we make is thinking that just because we’ve found comfort or even peace in the place we are means that it’s our final stop. The true barometer isn’t comfort but growth. Even if it’s been a place that helped us grow before, if our only reason for sticking around is comfort, it may be time to really start listening to where God may want us to head next. What places are you currently in that are no longer feeding you? What is keeping you from finding your new place?

2. Another misnomer we may believe is that if we’re meeting resistance, it must not be where we’re supposed to be. As if we take the saying “when the going gets tough, the tough get going” and add “out the door” to the end of it. But much like physical strength building, if we want to get stronger in our minds or spirit, we must push against resistance. What places are you in that have been difficult or even unpleasant? How can you take this as an opportunity to build strength and grow?

3. It can do us a lot of good to take a moment and ponder/think about what God has done for us. As the end of the year comes to a close, this is one of the best times of year to do that. What has God done for you in 2023? How can you use those blessings to help build His Kingdom?
